Sometime Simple is the most Fun!

Kaden turned six on the 2nd! This year's party was celebrated a bit later and on a very simple scale that I loved a appreciated a lot. We went out for pizza and then to a park to let the kids play and play they did. They so enjoy each other!

I managed to get a couple of shots in, but keeping them all still long enough was a big challenge. I dont even know where Braden was. They were all so busy running and swinging and generally having a good time.

We missed Grampy, as he was in PA for work, and of course we missed Uncle Jeff. Jeff was able

be at Kaden's Party last year, but this year he is in the Pacific somewhere. Maybe next year.

I cannot believe these beautiful children are growing up so quickly. Little Faith and Ellie are getting to be quite the young ladies.

This simple, but fun get to gether was so nice. Thank you Lord, for my wonderful family!

DS found a new home!

Another Kitty is looking for a home in my Etsy Shop.... Maybe she will be as fortunate as DS was! This one was on a dusy shelf of a thrift shop and is the absolute cutest...she can live here if no one else wants her... :)
Possum was curious today too...we are all elated to find that DS (door stop) has found a new home with our etsy friend, Carolyn. DS will be a special gift for her daughter this Christmas. Maybe take pity on the kittys didnt pan out, but Im finding special homes for all my Etsy finds. This one cost a bit more than I usually spend and I almost left him at the sale...but something was tugging at my heart, and I went back at the last minute and picked him up...He was only on my etsy page for about an hour before Carolyn found him. Fun!

Our New Kitty and my New Favorite Cleaning Product!

This little Kitty door stop is new to our house. He is an Etsy buy and will soon be posted in My Etsy Shop. With having less room, I am using some of my Etsy finds as decorating items until they find their new home. This one I sat in a corner by the front door. Ricky discovered our little DS (affectionly calling him that for "door stop" ) and laid right down in a vulnerable position to make friends.
He actually thinks DS is real! He sniffed and speculated a LONG time...

This was as close as he would get! Ricky and DS are NOT friends yet!

Ive been seeing this product advertised for the past few days. Im an easy mark! Anything new that comes out in the area of pet hair, Im "down" for giving it a try.
I ran right out to Target and found them on sale at $3.99. I bought 2.

Here is the bottom of the Pledge Fabric Sweeper . There are two rollers that have a sort of velcro feel to them.

Here is the top, after attacking my chairs and couch with the sweeper.

My feeling about the product...on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best...I would give it a TEN for sure! Its easy to use, and really, really works. I even tried it on my black pants and it really took care of the cat hair and lint!

Give it a try...thanks pledge...now I just want it to be re-usable.

I Believe I have a new Collection!

Just sharing my new purchase! I found this at the Walnut Antique Walk and Sale two weeks ago and am finally taking the time to share the photos.
The lady that sets up right outside my front door had it. I spotted it and almost ran to her booth.
I believe it is a 1940's (or 50's) kit quilt. That means it would have been purchased in a package with all the fabrics, directions and background stamped with the quilting design.
Hand stitched and hand quilted, it is a beauty!
It has never been used and has a very unique edging. The most unique thing about it is that it is filled with spun wool, not the normal cotton of the day. It is so light and fluffy and comfy is an understatement.
What I like most about it is...the little print "bud" that almost looks like a cat tail! Its the only print used on the quilt.
I wonder who made this. Thank you so much for your wonderful and beautiful work! It has certainly found a good home.
Will I use it? You betcha! Mostly it will be on a quilt rack so I can look at it, but occasionally I will snuggle beneath it with a nice book or a nicer nap!
So, I name this #2...I found another one several years ago (#1), appears to be from the same time frame, same colors and same wool batt. I will share that story another day...
