Walnut's Antique Walk 2009

This was year 13 for "The Girls" to come to Walnut and stay at my house. It was a bit of a bittersweet ending to the weekend when we took this shot. Who knows if we will all be together next year or not?
Starting on the bottom left is Flo, a sweet sweet lady who know LOTS about hammered aluminum and Indian artifacts. She spends much of her time helping Indian tribes. Flo is one special lady!
Next to her is Teresa. She is a total kill! Dry humored and full of wit and wisdom. She has her convictions and you wont change them! She has a sweet kitty named Fritzie...
Top left is Karen, the big sister to the lady on the left. Karen is our resident "elderly hippie". She shares a booth with Teresa and helps both of the ladies get to and from where they need to go. Her sister is Robyn. Robyn loves to read. She brings several books for the weekend and if I dont bug her too much, she gets thru them all. Robyn has a heart of gold and I love to spend time with her. Her laugh is unforgettable! She loves to talk and tell stories and she is a wonderful cook!
Saturday afternoon my brother Mike, and my niece, Erica stopped by and ended up staying for our special supper, made by Robyn.

"Art" was there too. He is a "paper" vendor and has many items from WW2. Mike and Art had a rousing discussion! The food was amazing! Thank you Robyn!

This is how my front yard looked for the bulk of the weekend. Yes, we had rain and lots of it! And yes, thats an outhouse in my front yard. The first year I about had a heart attack when they dropped it there, but it is a necessary evil on this weekend.

I stopped this vendor and asked for a picture of her aporn made out of an old tablecloth. I thought it was so cute! Hmmmm another etsy idea????
Having the girls over the weekend was so much fun. I will miss it when the house sells and we can no longer be together then. I wonder what a year will bring? I do value the friendship I have made with these ladies...and I hope it can continue.
